As soon as you cross the threshold, you have the impression of disturbing the boss. Beware of anyone who touches something: they will be punished immediately. You have to admit that newspapers are super fragile... Pray that you don't bump into her at the checkout afterwards (phew, she's not alone, and the other people are very friendly). If so, take what you need and run, because here you will get no courtesy or politeness, no smile or kindness. This lady doesn't like people. It's been like this for decades, we won't change it anymore. Fortunately there are plenty of alternatives on the island, where traders have a minimum of good manners.
