Let me introduce myself: - I am a more than regular buyer on Amazon or Fnac, - I read at least one to two books per month, - I refuse to use electronic reading, - I have just moved to the region, - I discovered this very pretty bookstore while walking through the streets of Houdan, so I decided to stop ordering online. So why a star? because I went to this bookstore yesterday knowing that I was certainly going to have to order a book already chosen and come back to pick it up when it arrived (plus all the difficulties we have parking in this city where moreover, parking at the entrance to the town is chargeable), but after searching, the bookseller tells me with a compassionate smile that the chosen book is out of print and that no reissue is planned. Disappointed, I went home to do an internet search and immediately found the book in question on Amazon. Think about it, ladies and gentlemen, independent booksellers, wouldn't it be wise to push your investigations a little further to satisfy a customer's request instead of encouraging us to go through the giants of online sales which, I believe, you complain about it, you seem to be losing a certain clientele? Is there a law prohibiting you from supplying them discreetly in order to satisfy your customers and make them come back?
